With so many Google algorithm updates and changing best practices, it can be difficult to stay ahead of the curve with Search Engine Optimization (SEO). You can use various tools to optimize your website for search engines.

Alexa Toolbar
 - A handy SEO toolbar for Internet Explorer users. This SEO toolbar has features that let you view the stats on any site you visit: related links, traffic trends, Alexa traffic ranking and more. Definitely a tool to check out.
Copyscape.com
 - You’ve worked hard to develop the best content possible to attract customers, but what’s to keep your competitors from copying your web content? Copyscape’s SEO tool searches the Internet for copies of any page you submit. If you find out a competitor has copied your information without your permission, you can demand they take it down or take legal action to have the content removed.
Moz Local Listing Score
- MOZ fetch data from various 15+ sources including Google / Foursquare / Facebook & Yahoo etc. All data create a score your business on how it looks online.
Pingdom Website Speed Tool
- Pingdom website speed tool is a free tool that helps people to identify issues in load times for a website.

 - A crawling application that you can use to analyze many relevant on-page factors like meta tags, response codes etc. Like a search engine crawler, Screaming Frog works its way through the website from link to link. The free version crawls up to 500 pages.


SEMrush
- After years of SEO, SEMrush has risen to the top as one of my favourites. This tool is especially good for competitor analysis. It offers advanced keyword and competitor research. The makers of this software are the same company that made the popular tool SEOQuake. It allows you to see a bird’s eye view of how your site is performing in search engines and look at what your competitors are doing for both organic and AdWords.
Ubersuggest
- Get keyword ideas with Übersuggest the free keyword suggestion tool that makes good use of different suggest services.
Wordtracker 
 - A dedicated provider of usable tools for SEO. It is very popular with its very own version of keyword tool, which allows a user to scrape off hundreds of keywords available online. Also, they offer their free newsletters to their users, and makes sure that they can show off the best SEO strategies for the latest updates of search engines.


XML Sitemap Generator
 - You can create an XML sitemap here. You will be redirected to the generated sitemap details page, including number of pages, broken links list, XML file content and link to a sitemap file. Download the sitemap file using that link and put it into the domain root folder of your site.

Keywords


1.  Keyword in domain name.
2.  Keyword in URL.
3.  Keyword in title tag.
4.  Use keywords in H1,H2 and H3.
5.  Keyword in alt text.
6.  Keyword in links to site pages.


Content


1.  Write unique content. Have you checked your site has no duplicate content?
2.  Don't make pages to long, split them.
3.  It's better to frequent changes.
4.  Avoid poorly designed and coded sites.
